Well ladies and gentlemen, thanks to a lovely dose of corruption, I had to format the drive I had been keeping all my digital artwork on for the past year or so on. (3 cumulative years of work) About 90 percent of the data is gone. There are a few things I was able to salvage, but yeah... not fun. Not fun at all.
Don't worry, the commission work is intact, and still moving as planned. Although I'm going to have to re-shoot virtually all of Welcome to the Machine, I've resolved to make it bigger and better than before. I've worked on the story for almost 3 years, and I don't plan on giving it up.
In a way, this has motivated me to work even harder and push things even further. I can take everything I've learned to this point and apply it to new things. Anyways, just thought I'd keep you guys up to date on what's going on. Expect bigger and better, going forward. Not just with Welcome to the Machine, but everything.

Devious Comments
That's awful to hear, Pyr. Truly, all the work on Machine?
Let me know if you need any help. I might have some shots around you can use, buuut I doubt it. Still, let me know what you're shooting and when, and I can definitely lend a hand.
Life throws these things in our way so we can overcome them, hm?

Tis too much proved that with devotion's visage and pious action we do sugar o'er The devil himself.
It is good to see that you're staying optimistic about this, however.

Were all pretty clever, for a bunch of monkeys.
To mirror PBlade's closing comment, I am reminded of the Wayne family 'motto' in Batman Begins:
"Why do we fall? So we can learn to pick ourselves up"
As much as this news pains me to hear, I must also confess that I'm excited to see with what you replace the lost works.
I have no doubt that you'll come roaring back stronger and brighter, sir.
Sidenote: Time to forego food for a couple weeks and invest in an external hard drive, perhaps?

What fools these mortals are.
